Sunday, April 30th 2023   5-7pm

hosted by Ana del Rosal & Mary Ellen Alberti
at Mountain Rose Integrated Wellness Center, Waitsfield

Join us as we honor the spring season and
the celebration of Beltaine 🔥

We are in the season of spring and May 1st is the celebration of Beltaine -
a joyful, festive time for coming together to celebrate life.

Beltaine is a Gaelic Celtic festival that marks the midway point between the spring equinox and summer soltstice in the northern hemisphere. Now, at the peak of Spring. we may notice the difference in the Earth’s energy compared to the beginning of the season. We can see evidence all around us that the Wheel of the Year has shifted. The days are noticeably longer with the sun setting much later than it did at the Spring Equinox. It’s grown considerably warmer outside. At the Spring Equinox new life was just beginning to emerge, but here, at the beginning of May, there is no denying that the Earth has been pushed from its tentative new beginning into full awakening and rebirth.

Beltaine signifies “the return of light” and the casting off of darkness. It is a time for celebrating fertility, both in the context of our biological functions as well as our own creative energies, the fertility of our creative community.

At this time, Earth energies are at their strongest and most active.
All of life is bursting with potent fertility; the potential becomes conception.

Beltaine is a Celtic word meaning “the fires of Bel”, Bel referring to the Celtic sun god Belenus and “tene” being the Old Irish word for fire. Bonfires were lit during this festival’s celebrations with the belief that these fires would purify, protect, and increase fertility of the people, their animals, and their crops.

In ancient communities, all hearth fires would have been extinguished and a new fire lit which would have then been used to relight people’s hearths in their own homes. In this way the community was connected to each other by the sacred fire which was central to all. The festival would also have been a time of courtship rituals and a celebration of our own fertility!

We invite you to bring springtime offerings for our altar:
flowers, seeds, acorns, antler or horn, or a small vessel to symbolize sacred feminine energy.
You may also wish to bring an object, photo or written words
to place on our Beltaine altar.
Please also bring a journal and pen.

Our time together will include:

a mini fire ceremony
grounding meditation
journaling
optional sharing
inspiring grace card pulls
awaken sacral chakra oil
gentle yoga pose
crystal meditation
closing meditation with restorative yoga pose

Carve out some sacred time just for you, to enter a new cycle with mindfulness and purpose. Enjoy uninterrupted space and time to offer gratitude to the year that has passed, ground deeply into the present and re-imagine the future.

The new year brings with it the opportunity to start clear and fresh. And, yet- there can be pressure to come up with the perfect intention or be 'aligned' in a certain way. The invitation here is to come as you are and see what gently and naturally arises from within. Or, join us and simply be present in your own way, however that feels good for you.

In this workshop we will:

> Take time out for radical self-care and renewal
> Enjoy a guided meditation, movement and journal prompts
> Create vision boards to anchor our dreams and tap into our creative selves
> Listen for your own special word or phrase to take with you into 2023
> Carve out time for breath, presence, alignment and deep listening

In addition, enjoy a simple but beautiful space to retreat complete with delicious organic teas, thoughtfully curated treats and snacks, delicious aromatherapy oils, inspirational cards, candles and deep nourishment for your soul. Each participant will leave with a handmade gift to anchor the teachings from this retreat.

* We will send out details, directions and a ’to bring’ list as we get closer to the date.
Come exactly as you are and leave feeling connected, calm, clear, whole and content.

Join us as we honor the winter season,
the celebration of Imbolc,
and the Goddess/Saint Brigid 🌟

We are in the season of winter. The days are short. There is more darkness than light. It is a natural time for hibernation, introspection and contemplation. However, Imbolc is right around the corner. It is a Celtic celebration that marks the halfway point between Winter Solstice and Spring Equinox, and with it, the beginning of the return of longer days and more sunshine!

Imbolc celebrations are focused on awakening Nature from its sleep and dormancy. It is the perfect time for us to shine a light on any inner work and reflection we may have done during Winter. It is the season to look toward new beginnings, transformations and manifesting. We may want to release anything from last year that no longer serves us and look towards goals and fresh intentions.

The Goddess Brigid and Saint Brigid are honored during Imbolc. They represent renewal, regeneration, purification and the beginning of Spring.

It is a beautiful and powerful journey that we embark on when we gather in a sacred space and join to form authentic connections.  When we come together in equality and acceptance, we allow magic to take place.  When we are seen, heard and held we can transform out of insecurity and pain, and claim our true radiance and power.

we look forward to gathering with you,
Ana & Mary Ellen
